My Approaches to Therapy
Whether we want them or not … whether our culture values them or not …
feelings are at the center of our lives.
Without them, we would not be able to make decisions.
We may not realize it, but feelings helped us survive or thrive in our families growing up.
The therapy approaches I use help you learn how to notice and respond
to feelings in healthy ways. I have extensive training in several of the emotion-based, experiential models below. I am aware of others, and they also influence the way I work.
